Day 1. Lilongwe City Tour. Full Day

 

You will be picked up at 9am from your hotel in Lilongwe for full day city tour. We will start with Lilongwe Wildlife Center where you will learn more about endangered and rescued animals, such as monkeys, baboons, pythons, crocodiles, etc. You will learn about the history, challenges and impact center provides for rescued animals. Drive around Lilongwe City. Visit Parliament, memorial to the first President of Malawi Dr.Hestings Kamuzu Banda after Malawi gained independence from Britain. Visit local market. Visit World War I Memorial and climb the tower to have the breathtaking view of the city. Stop at Lilongwe Central Musjid, old town mall. Walk around Lilongwe with local professional tour guide. Lunch at the local restaurant to try Malawian local dish. After full day of Lilongwe City tour you'll be dropped at your hotel. Please specify your hotel where you'll be picked up

Day 2. Mzuzu Coffee Region. Malawi

 

Early in the morning you'll be picked up from your hotel for a five hour drive to Mzuzu coffee region in Malawi. Mzuzu is a city in northern Malawi. It’s a gateway to Lake Malawi and the fishing village of Nkhata Bay, both to the east. Here you will visit local coffee plantation and learn about Malawi coffee production including the cupping session at Mzuzu Coffee Planters where you will be able to taste local coffee from different regions of Mzuzu. Discover local lifestyle, walk around this beautiful town, have a lunch and after that you will be dropped at Grand Palace Hotel for overnight (accommodation included). Please plan your hotel in Lilongwe accordingly as you'll be spending a night in Mzuzu

Day 3. Mzuzu to Lake Malawi

 

This morning we will continue exploring Malawi by driving to the Lake Malawi. Lake Malawi, also known as Lake Nyasa in Tanzania and Lago Niassa in Mozambique, is an African Great Lake and the southernmost lake in the East African Rift system, located between Malawi, Mozambique and Tanzania. It is the fourth largest fresh water lake in the world by volume, the ninth largest lake in the world by area. Here you can enjoy your relaxing time by the lake. Optionally you can enjoy horse riding at Kande Beach, dance at Zithere Pano night club. Here you'll spend 3 days (accommodation not included)

Day 4 and 5. Those days spent at Lake Malawi. Meals and accommodation not included. We reccomend Mzuzu Lodge by the Lake Malawi with private beach.

 

Day 6. Lake Malawi to Lilongwe

 

After breakfast at the hotel you'll be taken back to the capital of Malawi, Lilongwe where you'll spend a night before your departure. The next day you'll be picked up from the hotel and taken to the airport for your flight. Your Malawi adventure concludes here. Hotel is not included
